Gday guys Ive just measured my Bores and journals and found all in spec for a 601 hone group and standard crack (931) 82 model. The bores are slightly out of round so I will need to get it rebored. The STD bore is 3.406" or 86.51mm. After 28 years of use and abuse this engine amazes me, The sludge and blocked breathers etc havent really made a dent on the old working parts (apart from a little wear on the Bearings) IF I was a real scroog I could put it all back together and it would plrobably go for another 50K miles or so. however I am thinking of stroking it (the engine that is) with a kit from Ideola. has anyone got any comments regarding this mod to the turbos engine, Is it significantly more powerful or not really worth the fuss.
