okay, i thought that i had solved the problem by relaceing the rubber buffers (hatch latching seals) that are set into the body, i even siliconed a little to help. but i am still getting water that runs down the back of the taillights. is there another gasket or seal that is supposed to be around the latch studs on the hatch? maybe the rubber fuel hoses that i have as drainage tubes arent flowing enough and backing up causeing the leak?
i need to solve this so i can at least finish stripping rust and sort out my brake light issues. this is the only area where i havent been able to sort out a leak, therefore the only non-water tight area. _________________ "Kraut cars, they know how to build 'em".

Are your light cluster seals OK? They go crusty and leak _________________ 1994 Lotus Esprit S4 - Work in progress...

I just used something from 3M called "Strip Calk"
it works great for light seals. _________________ proud owner of a 1979 924 Sebring Edition with a 931 trans that looks horrible but somehow runs... |
