I have been looking all over for the link above and from what i can tell, it's no longer in existence. Is anyone aware or did anyone save the head mod and dimensions for the 924 NA? I'm about to tear it apart and send it in for some head work and would like to know what to tell my machinist to do.

This might help:

http://web.archive.org/web/20020306122620/http://www.geocities.com/the_924_site/Heavy1.html

Looks like they don't archive pictures though, sorry

You could buy this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Volkswagen-Porsche-5-issues-from-1988_W0QQitemZ350280212015QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMagazines?hash=item518e53de2f

Then scan it and put it on the web someplace for us all to enjoy.

I think they just sent the head off to European Motorworks to have larger valves put in with some port work and port matching.

Ideola has the larger valves and related parts and nearly any cylinder head shop should be able to install them fairly easily.

Unless they have a flow bench (and know how to use it) I probably wouldn't have them attempt any port work outside of some port matching (which you can do with a dremel fairly easily)

There is a great thread discussing the cylinder head ports and showing a dissected cylinder head to help illustrate the issues with the head:

http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=6579

There's also this thread:

http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=13165

but I can't find the one that compares the sections of the 924 and 931 cylinder heads, I think it was easily 8 pages long.

I'm sure others will chime in here.
