Welcome to the board.

First thing to look for is vacuum leaks.

DME relay, im not sure but i think the fuel pump has 2 settings a sort of high and low pressure, but it sounds like a DME relay problem, they go all the time for no apparent reason, even if thats not the issue having a spare relay around is never a bad thing.

Agreed with the DME relay issue, I've started keeping one in my glove box, certainly worth getting hold of a known good one and giving it a try first

switz60,
Your car sat for 8 months---in (wet) Ireland.

Did you use a fuel additive like Stabil or something to keep moisture out of the fuel?

You should change the fuel filter and as much of the gas as possible.

There is also an in tank filter screen that may be clogged and should be checked. Also the fuel pump check valve should be cleaned.

Your injectors may be clogged as well.

GL & welcome
