Thanks, morghen, should have been "regularly $63". Fixed above.

No, I haven't installed one yet, but I want to put one in the Euro car I just acquired. I can't comment on fit from first hand experience, but Bob (Classic 9 Leathershop) has gotten excellent reviews on all of his stuff for both the 924/44 and 928 platforms.

As for the quality, the German carpet kits are obviously a little nicer and fuller than the Domestic, but the Domestic kits are very nice, MUCH MUCH better than the cheap swill being peddled on FleaBay. I will probably go with the Domestic myself, as I'm not trying to do a concourse restoration. The Foss Spectropile stuff is very durable, high quality stuff, designed specifically for automotive and marine applications.

The 931 Rebuild Kit consists of:
  • Head Gasket Set (see below)
  • Crankcase Gasket Set (see below)
  • new cam oiler tube
  • new cam oiler tube elbow
  • new oil pan drain plug
  • new oil pan drain plug crush washer
  • two new locating sleeves for head gasket

I considered adding the freeze plugs to the list, but haven't had time to get pricing on them yet.

In any event, the 931 Headgasket Set (931 100 901 00) consists of:
068 103 085 A: sealing ring (1)
048 103 095: sealing ring (1)
060 198 025 A: set of seals (1)
931 104 337 06: cylinder head gasket (1)
046 109 675 A: valve stem seals with assembly sleeve (
931 110 147 00: gasket (4)
931 110 152 01: gasket (1)
930 111 191 01: gasket (4)
048 121 127 A: gasket (1)
048 905 341 B: gasket (1)
993 111 195 00: sealing ring (1)
931 123 193 05: gasket (1)
931 111 191 10: gasket (1)
999 701 473 40: round seal (1)
056 905 261: gasket (1)
Haven't looked all those up, but it's basically everything for the top end: intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets, throttle body, all the charge tube o-rings and gaskets, CSV gasket, etc.

The Crankcase Gasket Set (060 198 041 A) consists of the oil pan gaskets, front and rear main seals, water pump gasket, oil pump gasket, oil pickup gasket, drain plug crush washer, and a few other miscellaneous seals and o-rings.

The brand for both will be either Goetze or Victor Reinz. I can't really request one over the other, it's whatever the supplier has access to at the moment. HTH...

I received a couple of inquiries regarding the turn around on some of the Classic 9 products.

The carpet sets are hand cut and prepared, and require ~3-week turn around from time of order to shipment.

The hood liners are also hand cut, and require ~3-day turn around from time of order to shipment.
