Well it seems that I will be doing a tiny bit more travelling.

I will be coming to Amsterdam this february.

I have a fellow who needs me to replace the tranny in his 1984 928S (its his baby). It is currently in Amsterdam. Once the swap is complete I will then be having to drive it to Switzerland for him.

So if anyone there is interested in meeting up (would love to meet and chat with Dutch_pig). As I would love to meet up with more Porschephiles while I am over there!

I havent been on the board much lately. But will be checking it frequently (although possibly mostly lurking)

Welkom Lizard.

I've worked and lived four years in the capital city of the Netherlands and enjoyed it very much and know my way around town. So if you are in need for a guide or a helping hand, let me know and I'll see what i can do but I must admit I haven't been in Amsterdam since last fall. Bringing the Toofah along to Amsterdam won't work because I took the engine out. I could bring my bearings along though?

Parking your car in Amsterdam is a major pita. Having a meeting with a few cars would have to take place on the outskirts of town. My guess is you'll be located on the south side of town and maybe your Hotel has a void place for a few cars (if you are staying at a Hotel at all). We'll figure that out later if necessary.

If you would prefere to have just a chat and a beer with some of the dutch members and you are located in Amsterdam, it could be convenient to pinpoint a Pub next to the Amsterdam Central (train) Station (@Zeedijk for example). Holland isn't that big and public transport is well organized, so members could roll in, get loaded, and catch their last train home while walking on all fours

Anyway, if you're coming over in the second half of february it would give me the chance to create/leaf some empty spaces in my agenda. A great oppertunity to meet the creator of Tim*

Kind regards, Harm.

Hello Harm,

I would definetly like to meet up for a beer and chat!

I will have a much better idea as to my arrival time once I have all the shipping details for the transmission hashed out.

So I will update this with the date soon.

Cheers
