Now that the 941 has a nice new shiny paint job, I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to re-badge it. Specifically, I'm referring to the "turbo" decals on the door sills, the narrow "PORSCHE" script and box that runs on the lip just above the rear bumper but beneath the tail lights, and the "924 turbo" script that goes just above the RHS tail light.

I kinda like it with no badging...don't want to be "that guy" that has PORSCHE plastered on every available surface of the car, if you know what I mean. Also, I'm thinking it might look a little funny to have "924 turbo" on a car that looks a lot like a 944...or maybe it would be kind of cool, like "what?! that doesn't look like a 924!" Alternatively, I could just leave the 924 part off, and have only "turbo" above the tail light.

Not sure! What do you think?

No pix until the big unveiling, when it's finally complete and ready to show

I prefer the clean look, just the badge on the front panel. The people behind you don't need to know what it is

I'm with Chuck on this one - no script - if they fail to guess the breed or the marque, they deserve to live in ignorance inhaling someone else's fumes. But the badge on the front is a must - leaving it off would be weird.

Badge is already on the front, that one is staying for sure

I was thinking about the door sill, and that they're also a functional piece, protecting the sill from scuffs...not too obtrusive either, since most casual observers won't even see them, unless I let them into the car...

I don't know why, but I love hearing what people think about stuff like this...it's just interesting to see / hear the different opinions!

The stock door sill sticker is discrete and cool, as you say also protects it from scratches and such.

you could have only the "924" badge at the rear, that would confuse on or two

What's with all the, "Tell me what I should do?" threads? You really don't know what you want from that thing?

Remember the maxim; "A camel is a horse designed by commitee."

The funny thing about it is, the votes almost always end up being split evenly. But by talking it out, sometimes other people have interesting and valuable observations that help sway my opinion one way or the other. I did the same poll at our New Years water cooled get together. 50% said badge it, 50% said not to. 50% said Rials, 50% said Fuchs. 50% said flag mirrors and black handles, 50% said 968. You get the idea. But the dialog brought up some interesting points that I took into consideration. It's not that I can't make up my mind, I just find it very interesting to see how other people think about stuff like this.
