I don't know about that one being real. Do you think Der Prof would NOT put a front trunk? _________________ Rick

Prototypes usually don't have all of the features of the production units. _________________ Stefan

At first I said no way when I spotted the VW floorpan. I'm presently working on a Speedster in my garage and there are no similar parts beyond a few engine pieces (check my avatar). I read the long write-up and see where there is a reference to three cars that were commissioned for an auto show. This is probably one of them but not the prototype Porsche #1. It's another Mfrs show car using the Porsche drawings and motor on a VW frame. That said, there were very few differences between VW and 356 engines, transmissions and suspension pieces in the earlier days.
Now for any of you who desire a 356, stay away from the A and B models if you like how a car feels. The early cars handle like crap! Think 1950's Beetle with bad shocks. Be thankful for the 924 suspension.
