Wow, that is exactly how an NHL All-Star Game should be played!
Very exciting. Usa goalie had to stand on his head all night. Hope he shows up again!

Wow what a great game!

It's always fun watching hockey since I actually played against a few of those guys growing up and through high school.

Plus three of them are from Wisconsin! kessel, pavelski, and suter!

I think it rather begs the question, what the hell are professional hockey players who earn millions of dollars a year doing, playing each other in the olympics ?

These should be college and university teams with 100% amateur status.

This stuff makes a mockery of amateur sport. Most competitors in other events actually have regular day jobs that are not part of the sport.

All these players should be banned from Olympic competition.

Let the flaming begin !!

The difference is, being a curler doesn't pay the bills, hence why they have a 'day job'. Fortunately, hockey players can make a living with their 'day job' and just so happen to get to play in the olympics as well.

Plus when you break it down. There is an U18 tournament that players would play in, anyone over 18 that would be good enough to play for teh olympic team would prolly be playing d1 college, semi-pro or pro hockey.

Oh, that sucks, man!

Now I don't get a free BBQ at work.

Canada played woefully against the Swiss. They were just lucky the Swiss are not very good. But you play a team like the U.S.A. that way and, well, there's the result...

The only good thing is that the German team is... um... let's just say I feel pretty confident they're not going to beat Canada

It came down to goal tending.... USA had the #1 ranked goalie and the final score shows.

Hockey is still...CANADA'S game!!!!!

...2006 he was negotiating with several other big-name companies. Industry insiders estimate White's income is now $6 million a year...

This is about Shaun White. So much for being an amateur!

I didn't like the pros going to the Olympics, NBA players are a good example, even in their own league! But, if they play like they played last night, wow, bring them on! Looks like next time around, when the winter games are in Russia, the NHL may not bring their toys. They currently don't aknowledge the new KHL over there, and are having fits on the playground. So they grab kids from the Junior league in Canada, and college kids in the us. Did anyone see the replay of the '80 miracle on ice game against the Russkies? Seemed like they were skating in slow motion! What a difference 30 years makes. Especially, for me too, I watched that game!
