I have 88 924S. When the weather is above freezing the car will start on the first crank and when I turn the ignition I can hear the pump fire right up. When the weather gets cold the fuel pump won't kick in. I turn the ignition and I cant hear the pump start at all. I don't think the pump is shot or it would'nt work most of the time? What do ya'll think it could be? The fuel pump relay? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks! _________________ 1988 Porsche 924S

| fuel pump relay is always a good place to start if thats the issue its a cheap fix and worth replacing. You can test the pump by disconnecting the bat first jumping terminals 30 and 87b with a wire, then remove the bolt at the head of the fuel rail run some hose off of it to a bucket, reconnect the bat, turn the key and the pump should kick in you may not even need to turn the key i dont remember but the pump should give you 850cc every 30 sec. |
