The 924 passed its mechanical inspection last week... so i got it plated and insured I was going to supercharge and go ITBs but i just got sick of looking at the car sitting in my garage... and kept it stock... except for efi.
For a car that has 95hp, its quite quick... i'm actually surprised! Its not a stop light racer, but once you start flying through gears its just a lot of fun. It pulls hard all the way to 5500rpm and the noise it makes is just freaking sweet. I can only wonder what the 931 feels like! Didn't dare to push it through the corners yet as the front end feels like it wants to loose traction.
Clutch is heavy... i can feel every single bump on my street that i didn't even know existed... and the engine's vibrations just reverberates through the cabin... raw and uncivilized... and in spite of all of that... i just love it!
I'm hooked on the 924  _________________ 1977 Porsche 924

hmmm..... The European 924 made 125bhp. Not sure what is involved totally to bring it up to that spec, but it is doable! I hear people here yapping about it. Having a UK car i don't get too involved in that sort of chat.
Anyway, well done! Enjoy  _________________ 924 (84) N/A 2 ltr - 5 Speed - BLACK - Project (looking for 200BHP, any ideas!)

He's got an early NA US spec, which only had 95HP. The later US cars had 110. To achieve Euro spec, he'd need to swap in some Euro pistons and ignition distributor (can't remember if his EFI setup included some form of DIS or not).
{EDIT}
BTW, congrats on getting back on the road, Sal! Have you gotten around to the rear quarters yet? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Yeah i have the Ford EDIS and im using Min's ignition table that he posted here. I recall someone here telling me that i can run a higher advance on the early engines so thats the next step when tunning the thing.
I managed to get the rear quarters on... a buddy of mine did the welding. I also found a nice Fiberwerks 944 rear bumper that makes the back end look bad ass with the CGT quarters. I just need to fiberglass & bondo the whole thing together to make it look like one piece. _________________ 1977 Porsche 924
