I was thinking of making some molds this winter of the
side skirts for myself... and a few of you guys
mentioned youd like to have a set..
Anyone interested. They would be finish sanded
& ready for paint for about a hundred
bucks a set plus shipping.

lots of petrolium jelly.
Joe that would be cool if you made some fiberglass side skirts. be sure to do a trail run and post some pics.
maybe you could make molds of the splitter and valance too, then we could buy the whole joes924 body kit. _________________ "Kraut cars, they know how to build 'em".

Ok Ill draw up some drawings to give a better idea of what
i could make. Ill round the edges so they will sit flush against the body
Then there will no ugly seam to fill, unless you want to like i did.
To secure the side skirt Ill keep it simple. You will have holes bigger than the connector in the outer skin, under this on the back side will be a cross brace for mounting to the body. Theres all sorts of ways to go here short of making a plate with a bigger hole for mounting you should be able to get a long long drill bit to go thru the outer skin, the cross brace, and body. Then jus do what i did and use a lock nut or cover with a reg. nut & a dab of epoxy to keep it from coming loose . Here you could use super glue though its not vibration proof & itll come loose. Theres more thoughts to be had here on these as Im thinking things I shouldnt
be if its gonna be a true mold. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

I would be willing to make at least 5 of them once a design is decided
it would require a using the product as a inner mold building a removable
shell to use as the mold base then having crossing braces inlaid in the fiber glass. Looks like theres an interest I think the ones who spoke up
wanting these are upgrading in a neat way. So what do i have at least 5 interested peoples seems so. One great winter project huh. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

To secure it you could use brakets attached to the pinch weld 3 screws on the ends going it the fender and 3M double sided acrylic tape across the top edge. what ever you do I'm still totally down for a set _________________ 95 Neon gutted PnP MS2E turbo
