My $.02
The Carerra GT look is very nice no doubt, but two things about it: it looks a lot like a 944, and there are a number of CGT imposters out there already, not to mention 944s galore.
I've always been a fan of the D-Prod look. AIR has a very nice D-Prod kit that is very affordable. There are so few D-Prods out there, it is a much less common look. IMO, it retains all the best features of the narrow body design, but adds that touch of aggressiveness that is lacking in the original body, making it possible to run a wider track. For the money and ease of execution, I think the D-Prod should be high on your list of options. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Maybe, but have you ever listened to these cars? Here's a vid of one, check out the revs at 38 seconds of the tape.

Jon, I have the GTS kit in our barn in pretty decent shape. If you're interested, bring the white car down to our farm some day to check it out. I'll show you some fantastic roads around here! We close the restaurant on October 11th, and leave for New Mexico shortly thereafter. Dave _________________ '83 944 Track car.

eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww - CGT... That's so.... 80's looking.
Besides, the D-Prods were 80s anyway, not 70s.

Yeah, the CGT is kinda an 80's look. I actually touched up my car so it really does not have that "timed look". The front bumper is "dated" though and the rear of the car needs something... other then that, the 968 mirrors and wing do make the car look so much better. _________________ Classic British Sports Car Restoration v6 + v8 Engine Conversion Swaps

Just slap on a 951 batwing with the CGT look and it will fill the rear up a bit! _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

The batwing Flosho refers to is the stock undertray / splitter that came on the 951s. However, I don't believe it will work with a standard 944 front clip, as I believe the contour of the lip is different on the 951. So if you want the batwing, you have to go with the whole 951 front clip, including the header panel and head light covers. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
