I have seen those seats in early 924 models and even in early 944. I would say those seats are somewhat rare but not super rare.
edit: It is possible that tweed seats are more rare in US. It could be that it is a market area issue. US cars seems to be better equipped. (apart from 931 brakes 1979-1980 ) Tweed seats are sort of basic thing, not an option. Leather would be an option to pay some extra, tweed hardly not. _________________ Mikko

The tan tweed seats were common in the 81 Weissach Special Edition cars. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

my last car was a uk '79 martini replica.... it had a slightly similar interior
sold that car in nov/dec last year, was leaking like mad from the roof and it was destroying the interior |

That red tweed is SNAZZY Never seen that one before!
My 81 NA has the same grey tweed on the seats, but not on the door panels. I like it. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

| That is the coolest interior I have seen. Why weren't more produced? Tweed seats are so comfortable and warm. The leather looks cool but fabric is so much nicer to live with |

love it! the red tweed must be the best int ever! on any car.
I've never really liked leather either. cloth is better imo. _________________ "Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves. "
