they do them from time to time down the street from my house, me and my son saw a bunch of classic/muscle cars driving by and decided to go see. enjoy some eye candy:
this GT40 kit car is "mama's new car" according to Dallas(the boy)
this one's amazing. it's an unrestored 69 roadrunner, the owner is the original owner! he paid $3,374.00 for it originaly!
he thinks this is Doc from "CARS"!
'73 Super Beetle! two tone import from Germany.
pardon me, do you have any grey poupon? it's a Rolls Royce, i couldnt resist! _________________ "Kraut cars, they know how to build 'em".

I think there are plenty of options out there. I remember seeing one company that could sell you the entire car unassembled for around $50K...
(digs through bookmarks)
Yup, here. But like I said I'm sure there are other cheaper options.

Yeah, but that's not a complete kit - you still need to provide some parts yourself. Still, prolly works out cheaper anyway.
Just a great looking car - one day...

I'm surprised how close they park those cars. Someone with a purse of keychain could do some serious damage.
Nice to see all that american muscle! _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |

Those are some nice cars! Once in a while my town has a cruise night where everyone drives their special cars around town. I saw quite a few interesting ones during the last one. _________________ 1979 Porsche 924- Snailshell

Speaking of car shows, I wandered down to the Steamworks Concours this morning. Just a small show but they had a few neat things there:
Some 'rods;
Some classic Yank muscle, a Stingray and Shelby 'Stang;
Would you believe it? Another bloody Pantera;
A Chrysler New Yorker built for the Queen! (and a Bel Air two-door wagon in the background);
Some Studes;
An old Yank thing I forget the name of with some Rollers in the background;
This bizarro thing called a Talbot Mantra, which has three seats across ;
A couple of nice Dukes from the 60's & 70's;
A little FIAT Arbarth;
A nice Alfa;
A DB5;
And the star of the show for me, a Muira! ;
They timed it just right. Although the weather was typical Vancouver-trying-to-be-London, a cruise ship had just arrived, so they had plenty of gawkers!
Not a bad way to spend the morning. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

WOW! Great lookin' oldies. I'm surprised with the number of euro cars over there, especially with the little Abarth. That car is small even for our standards. ...although, it's a serious racer.

Yes, Matra is known for their three-seaters. This model is called Murena, and it's got all plastic bodywork. They are rare in these parts too. _________________ 1984 924 2.0 NA |

I actually saw a Pantera driving right in front of me about a week ago. Quite a surprise to me, cause I seem to be the only one who actually drives their classic around here. _________________ 1979 Porsche 924- Snailshell

Right you are, it's "Matra" not "Mantra". I don't recall ever having seen one before. Odd. I tell you what, though, it had interior trim to rival a Pasha for psychedelic-ness! Unfortunately it doesn't show in the pic and I didn't get a shot from another angle... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

More so than your average club carpark gathering, I guess. But what you see in the pic's is pretty much all there was. Not really a huge amount of cars. But it's always good to see new stuff, like a Matra. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
