Porsche lost the battle to take over Volkswagen! It is now going the other way arround....Volkswagen has taken over Porsche.
So, chances are that the all new 914 will be sold as VW/Porsche 914 (Known as VOPO in Germany) as back in the years.....
Also that well knowen Sticker " May contain traces of VW/Audi" get`s a diffrent meaning... _________________ NA 924 - april/1977- 4-speed-audi gearbox.

I thought I recently read that Porsche took over VW? How can they lose a battle they already won? _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)

Read something about the two companies are merging..
Well, good news to 924 owners. Doesn´t make any diffenece if the spareparts are stamped "VW" any more - it´s now 100% Porsche _________________ Carl Fredrik Torkildsen

Porsche thought that if the 20 % Ownership of the state of Niedersachsen (Lowersaxonie) will be stopped( By european laws) they could have enough shares to buy the majority. To buy these shares porsche gets a credit over 9 Mil.euros and they thought when they get majority from vw, they can get there hands on the 10 Mil. euros vw has in cash in the drawers......A deal that pays for it self...but,wiedeking (CEO Porsche) was wrong, crisis stopped him.
So. Porsche is just a other brand like audi or lamborghini inside the Vlokswagen family!! Shit happens. _________________ NA 924 - april/1977- 4-speed-audi gearbox.

I personally welcome this news, hopefully they'll make a new "small" front engined porsche, the panamera just doesn't do it for me.

Thank god! The Cayenne will finally be discontinued and Porsche can go back to just being a sportscar company. _________________ 1981 931 GT (CGT Intercooled)

I dislike everything about SUV`s, but, a twin turbocharged V8 Porsche would be awfully freaking cool even if it were packaged in a Cayenne or Toureg or even the new VW Crouton. _________________ 1980 924 turbo, MSD, Meth. Inj, otherwise stock. |

What make you say that?
If I remember correctly, about 3 years ago Porsche became the main VW owner by being the biggest stake older.
Now it sound to me that Porsche and VW, that are control by the same family, are going to sale there cars in the same building,
probably to save money. Smart move!
But maybe you have more info since you are in Germany, lucky you. _________________ 1976 924 N/A ROW SOLD

newsflash
Today VW canceld it's appointment to meet with Porsche tommorow (monday).
German tabloid/magazine Der Spiegel reported Saturday that Porsche considered application to state support: “The sport car manufacturer wants to get hold of a loan of 1 billion euro. Porsche will have a debt burden of almost 10 billion as a result of the difficult circumstances in the car line and the recent extension of the importance in Volkswagen.”
Damn! Looks like Stuttgart skipped history class?
Drop the Panamera and #### SUV's,
A clean, new toofah would save the day…
