Yeah, been kicking around for a while now. Posts here going back to 2005 - do a search for some early pics etc. There was a big write-up in the paper here last weekend.
I'm not in love with it, but I'll happily take one for a test drive.

The Panamera is on the road in germany. It is a fast Taxi (cab), it goes up to 303 Km/H!
In the drivers place it feels and drives like the 997. In the rear it has a 2 bucket seat row which is hard to enter, but one`s u made it it is exellent...
i hope the us customers will like it....if not....by,by Porsche. _________________ NA 924 - april/1977- 4-speed-audi gearbox.

First Panameras spotted up here in North - Finland.
It's really isn't all that bad - actually it looks very, very sleek and expensive when seen IRL. Interior is extremely high in quality, materials and craftmanship. Boot is tiny as hell (your 924 has bigger!), but driving position is very good. It's going to be a one helluva tough bite for Merc's CLS, Aston Martin's Rapide and forthcoming (if..) Lamborghini Estoque. _________________ 931 '79

I like it. Looks mean.
Yer right about the fat ass. Fat asses are alright imho if there's a monster under the hood with a nice exhaust. _________________ 1980 924 turbo, MSD, Meth. Inj, otherwise stock. |

This will be the next big mob vehicle in movies.
It looks interesting. I personally don't have much of a taste for it. Looks like a Camry/300 mix. _________________ 1979 Porsche 924- Snailshell

if you think of it as an extended 911 or an extended sports car...then its not goin to look preety....but if you think of it as a squashed down cayenne...then it looks preety nice.
i must confes that its growing on me... _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Well, I like it. I know it moves Porsche a little away from its heritage, but so did the Cayenne. And as much as I didn't like that idea, it proved to be a very smart decision. I dislike the Cayenne much more than I dislike the Panamera, but at least this person got the 4S.
Anyway, if I had the money I would surely give it a serious look. But I'd be tempted to hold off to see how good the Tesla Model S turns out. _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

Can this be true with the recent "merger" with VAG (vw/audi group)? _________________ "Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves. "

Not awful looking (much better than the Cayenne, IMO), but still a bit odd as a "Porsche." I like curves (a la Cayman) and in some ways I feel this car doesn't differentiate itself enough visually from some Infiniti's or Mercedes sedans.
What's the ESRP? $60-70k? _________________ 1988 924S Navy Blue - Phone Dials |
