i have a 1980 924 parts car it has good koni struts with weltmiester sp250 springs i just purchased a 85.5 944 and one of the front struts is blown what i want to know is can i put the 924 koni's in my 944 and not have to modify too much

I believe that fronts are exactly the same and rears only slightly different but please dont rely solely on this. With the rears I used 951 rear shocks on my 924 and only required very slight mods (the other way may be harder however as I think that I had to make a spacer to fill my mounting hole out of a steel tube so to put 924 rears on a 944 you may have to make a larger hole which would not be a great idea) But again I think fronts are identical.

Front struts are interchangable. I have the low pressure non-adjustable Koni front gas struts (standard front struts on 85.5 944) installed on my 81 924. I put them on when I switch to four wheel disc brakes over 10 years ago.

cool sounds like the front struts will go right in now my question is what are better stock 85.5 944 struts or dampening adjustable koni's i am assuming the koni's just want to be shure
