No, you don't need the 944 rad. It's a pretty easy conversion, you can re-use the 944 upper exp tank to rad hose (the long skinny one). But you will need to come up with something for the larger hose that comes off of the bottom of the expansion tank. The standard 944 hose won't work (can't remember why at the moment), and of course, the 924 hose is too short. what I did was use a plastic coupler and cut off part of the 944 hose, and just spliced the two together. Pretty simple.

They can be adapted to fit, but the mounting points and fan setup are a bit different, so it's not a direct bolt-in replacement. They will work for sure, you'll just have to be a little creative during installation.

944 and 924S have the same rad and fan setup. The fan setup is different on the 2.5L than the 2.0L. Not sure about the wiring, but it should be a snap to modify. Regarding the hoses, no, you will not be able to use the 944 hoses as-is because the 2.5L engine is arranged differently, so the hoses are routed differently and don't have the correct bends, etc. However, as I described above, it shouldn't be too difficult to "splice" 2.0L 924 hoses with the 2.5L 944/924S hoses to achieve what you want. It may not be pretty, but if cheap is what you're looking for, you can get it to work with a few couplers and hose clamps.
