in trying to find out why the reverse lights were not working someone attempted to pull the plug off and the end came off one of the wires.
I know where the switch is..that was the easy part..whats the easiest way to get it out???
Thanks

The content of this post is far less interesting than the subject leads one to believe...!

1) The transmission is still in the car
2) i have tried what i can to get it out without dropping the whole frickin thing
3) we are either going to cut a whole in the spare tire well or just wire in a switch
i figured we were all adults here and could take this seriously...i guess not _________________ '77 924 NA Porsche Red |

How can we take you seriously?
Just crawl under there and unscrew it with a wrench.
That's how everybody else does it.

I would imagine this thread is really annoying you, but I have to agree, it's pretty straight forward. I have a '77 too, and if you have the 4spd, then all you have to do is get the correct metric wrench to get it off. If I recall, you need a pretty large wrench, but it shouldn't be too hard.
What is in the way of you getting up there? On my 77, it is really accessible. _________________ 1978 924 NA
