I am looking for information and Google doesn´t help much. There was a guy called George Maybee från Denver who built brake-kits for 911, 914 and maybe even 944 back in the late 80´. I did find some pictures. According to the adverts, they claimed 40% or 200% more effective that 930 calipers and certainly weren't cheap. They use a Stockcar 4-3/4" pad from Porterfield. Same size as several AP, Outlaw, and Wilwood calipers. They are based on early wilwood calipers and are true race calipers without dustseals and the pads rattled a lot. _________________ Carl Fredrik Torkildsen

Arrived in the mail today, but I am experiencing some difficulties finding brake pads and don´t have the old ones. The brakepad slot is square and measure 5.19" in width and 2.36" in height. Serialnumbers are "9441" and "9442" made to fit 944.

They look nice 'n' light gegge.
Those pistons look quite small too, I presume they are intended as a front brake upgrade only whilst retaining the stock rear calipers?
Or is it one front and one rear of in the pic...difficult to judge the piston diameter. |
