I need a new power mirror control switch the one that switches power to the left or right and mounts in the center console. Where can I get a new one for a decent price?
Thanks

Hello.. Try

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/944M/POR_944M_ELswch_pg3.htm

even though I've also been looking for both the toggle switch for left/right and the joystick on the door for controlling the mirrors. Mine don't work at all, so I'm starting with replacing the switches. I've only come across used joystick door switches and no reasonable new ones yet.. 69$ for a tiny switch is kinda a reach. I recently replaced all my window switches ( brand new ) those are easier to find. I got those off Ebay. If I come across them I can let you know too. I tried Rennbay.com as I have purchased a few parts from them.

I meant to say.. even though I didn't really see them on Pelican, but maybe some of the newer 944 switches work.. still pricey though.

I might have a used one available. I'll check when I get home from work.

If you get no response from any of the switches in any position, I'd first suspect grounding and power, fuses, etc. It would be unlikely for all positions of all switches in a circuit to be bad at the same time. My mirrors were comatose for several years, then suprisingly came back to life when I cleaned the grounds while fixing something else.

Replacing the power window switches, on the other hand, was a good idea - they're known to go bad and require replacement.

Should have advised the same thing Smoothie did, check all grounds and electrical wiring connections first. If your switch turns out to be bad, I have a used replacement available for $15. PM with your email address and shipping address if interested.

My right side mirror works but when I try to toggle it over the drivers side mirror it just makes a clicking sound in the right side mirror. Before I replaced my mirror joystick my right side one worked properly but the passenger side would only work in one position. I am going to get a toggle switch and then a new joystick if that doesn't fix it. Where are the grounds for the power mirrors?
Thanks

Do you have an LHD (US) car?, or an RHD (UK, etc.) car? Either way, I'm not making sense of it. Maybe reread it and see if your "right side"'s, "passenger side", "drivers side", etc. are used correctly..

Anyway, one would presume the grounds should be somewhere up front within a reasonable distance from the doors, but my mirrors came back after cleaning the rearmost ground point (#2) in the luggage compartment, between the rear lights.
The wiring diagram (Haynes 924-924T '76-'82 pg.266) shows the ground wires, but doesn't note where they attach to the body.
