All,

Long time since Ive posted to the board - had lots of other matters that have taken my time/thoughts away from the 931 (GTS replica) project.

Have a look at:

http://www.emsport.com

Go to projects - 1980 931, click on smaller picture at bottom for specifications - this thing is about the "ultimate 931" I have seen. They say it will be updates as work is completed.

Anyone out there that is located close to these guys that could get some more pics and go and discuss details etc - I would be interested in getting some of this stuff sent downunder. They mention a custom intake manifold and a few other bits (short shift kit!!!).

Email me offline if anyone is close enough to go and have a look at.

Now do that power to weight thing again:

EMSport 931 estimated hp = 300 and would be ligher weight (fibreglass panels/plexiglass windows etc) but use the standard weight =

2579lbs and 300 hp = 8.6lbs/hp!!!!!

Cheers,
Peter

He'll need a lot more than 5-7 lbs boost to bring that to 300 hp.

I like the bodywork.

oh yah, this is that duplicate copy, or identical twin or clone of some sort to Peter from sunny Aus.

Is that flames coming out of that white 924 out the side? shor exhaust to the side or is it something else, a burger wrapper?

Well, I have been in contact with EMSPORT and they are making a custom intake manifold that will give way more power because of it's design... I don't doubt 300 hp can be achieved with a turbo and the other modifications they have done and are doing.

The custom intake they are manufacturing allows intake to go directly to the intake system until 3000 RPM then closes off and the intake then runs through the turbo. Yes, this sounds like a big mess, but it has been done for years on many different cars and really stops the lag that lowers your over-all HP figures. It makes more low-end torque and all that kinda stuff....

Just remember- I'm pro'lly near 200 or maybe just at 200 HP (we'll find out...) with my NA... Add a turbo and you can get more...
