Someone told me theres a rad fan relay a AC relay and another relay in my Porsche 924 turbo, but I'm lookin' in my haynes manual and it says nothing of the sort.. I'm having trouble with my rad fans and thought this was the issue, don't see how i can test the relay if it dosn't exsist? Thanks again 924 enthusiasts. _________________ Just wait 'till my turbo starts firin' the RPM LZR!

Those relays show in the wiring diagram on pg.297 of the Haynes.
At least 2 of them are on the fuse-relay panel -
One or 2 more may be behind-right of the glovebox. Remove the glovebox for access. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

You are correctsir.
Notice that III, VI, and VIII are the same - so they can be swapped around for testing. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

The Haynes Manuals for the 924 is worthless for 1981 and later cars.
There are at least two versions of the Haynes Manual for 924s. The early version has a Orange cover, and is supposed to cover up to the 1980 model year.
The Olive? cover is the 2nd edition, and is suppose to cover from 76 to 82, but the only addition information is some incomplete wiring diagrams, and a few pages stuck in the back that mention the newer ignition systems.
The other two relays located on the right side of the dashboard are part of the ac system. Depending on the manufacturer, they may be located below the dashboard or at the right side a-pillar.
The only service manual that covers everything is the Factory Service Manual. |

Your best bet is to CALL Troy over at EBS Racing (888 873 0378). They can get these relays for you, and their prices are usually better than Pelican or Performance Products (a.k.a. Automotion.com). If you absolutely MUST go with an online reseller, than either of these two will be your best bet. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
