I need some one to check out a car for me.
If anyone wants to have a little fun with a 1988 928S4!
I know most of us here have better knowledge of the 924 series but I just want to know if this car is solid and actually looks and performs like it has 96K miles on it... not 146K. They are claiming that there is a discrepancy due to and error. I always hate to see that. So since I am in NH and can not inspect the car myself... figured some one else would like to have a bit of fun and drive a 928S4!
If anyone is interested let me know.

I am not familiar with a 928 but for what i`ve seen and read it looks like it is worth the money.
For mileage- check the usual stuff like-front window (chips),pedal-rubber,interior-leather wear? -front end/paint damages- fitting of fenders/hood ect....5500.-Us sounds like a bargain,here they cost a lot more.

Exactly. I would be looking at all those things and more but I am 1100 miles away. DOU! 
If there is anyone in the area that would not mind looking at the car for me I would appreciate it. I could send you a part or two for your car for the effort. Reasonable parts of course .
and or I can do a favor for you up in my area of the world (NH)

| Trying to determine the reserve might be a good idea. The $5500 is not even the minimum sale price. It could be anything. |

| I'm actually very close to the area. Currently, I am visiting Kennesaw GA, which is ~1 hr from Lawrenceville. I am not as knowledgeable as others around the forum (the 79 924 is my first car), but would be happy to take a look at the 928 if you're still interested in it. |

Well I would but the auction was ended early for some reason. I can not see how they can do that after the reserve price was met... but they did.
