curious, after sitting for 10 years, should i worry about replacing the clutch or do you think it will be okay? i guess i'm afraid of the chance of having any crap on the surface of it or it slipping or burning up.
Should it be okay? I've noticed sometimes that i'll get into 1st and it'll feel powerless for a second as if it's slipping, though the rpms don't change and it feels like it's grabbing, but like a loss of power, and eventually it just randomly "wakes up". Though it could be fuel related, not sure. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

There's a lot of clutches in the world more than 10 years old. I can't imagine there would be a problem with the clutch due soley to age.
There may be issues with a hydrollic system that sits for that long, but that doesn't apply to your car. _________________ 78 924 NA

The biggest issue is usually rust on the flywheel and pressure plate. Make sure your free play is adjusted properly and drive it, you'll know soon enough if it needs to be replaced. Did the clutch work when it was parked? _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

pull the inspection plate and take a look up in there. you can check your disk wear, grease up the throwout , etc...
my only issue seems to be the clutch cable end doodads... had one crack at the pedal end..

Clutch worked when it was parked per previous owner saying. Worked as well when I pulled it off the trailer, so it wasn't stuck. I've driven it 3 times since I got it running. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

Not the clutch for sure. It seems to be more of some kind of really weird throttle hesitation. Seems to be better when the car is warmed up. But I can full throttle it and it'll hardly want to go. Then at about 3000rpms or so it just wakes RIGHT up and suddenly has power and wants to go.
I am not really sure why it's doing that. I think i'm going to check the plugs and make sure they're okay and getting spark correctly. Go back to the basics.
Fixed the front sticky brake issue today and need to still pull the back brakes and replace them. Stopping a lot better now. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

How's the ignition timing? Is the centrifugal advance working properly? _________________ 78 924 NA
