i know they are rough, the guy wants $25 a wheel, does anyone know what they are. If a new center cap can be fitted what kind should i use..
Is it worth bothering with them aside from the time, I like recycling its worth the effort. |

Polish the rim and paint the center basket weave black. Use the cleaner I recommended to Peter Au to get rid of the oxidation. Or go to suspension part of the site and read the article. They should come out perfect although it takes time.
Offer 75. The price is right.
If you are only getting less than four center caps pass. You will never find others. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

Doesn't look damaged, just oxidized.
Do yourself a favor and get a dremel, use a polishing wheel and instead of using the polish that comes with your dremel, use a meguiars metal polish OR "simichrome" which is probably the coolest polish on the planet. I'm fairly certain that simichrome uses unicorn horn and leprechaun blood because it seems to be magical...
if there are no major scratches on those wheels and they are simply dirty and have a LOT of oxidation you'd be amazed, you may be able to polish them back to new shape. At $25 a wheel i would say go for it. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)
