It's easy to do on the fronts...get under the car and look at the bumper. There are two shocks that hold it on. Take a drill and drill a hole into them until liquid shoots out (this can be done with bumper on or off). Then just push the bumper in and it'll hold there.

The rear is a lot more complicated. You have to cut/weld the mounts and then fab up some sort of filler panel to make the bumper line up with the body right and take up the space from the black rubber sides.

It's amazing how much better they look with it pushed in:

Yeah. I pushed mine in all the way. Wear some safety glasses! The fluid inside IS under pressure, so be safe! I had mine welded in place, I think thats the best way to do it.

Both front and back can be done without a problem. Remove bumper, remove shock. Cut shock about 1 in from the rear with a hack say. Push in till liquid drains and wash out residue. When dry weld shut after you compress the piston. Make sure the mount is perfect to mount the bumper. If it is crocked you cannot put the bumper on.

Works the same on the front and rear. On the rear you will toss out the black FILLER. That what that is and it is ugly. [my opinion] Somewhere recently Peter Au posted pictures of my car and you can see what the pushed in bumpers look like. As for you outside NA you know what I mean.

Problems? PM me.

Im not trying to shoot your idea down, but modifying the existing bumpers is much more cost effective. Used bumper shocks are super cheap, so if you mess one up, you are only out like $12

what you do takes maybe all of 45 minutes, Is to remove
the bumper mounts drill them out with a drill and then push them
in all the way and run a couple of machine screws thru them to keep them in... thing is watch out cause once you puncture the inner
sleeve its like pressurized and an oily like discharge shoots out of the hole your drilling...
