I gotta say.... not too bad for not having done this in a couple years. These emblems needed a little TLC.

Very Nice!

When I read the topic I was hoping to see one of those 70's style van murals down the side of a 924. You know, a Unicorn with a Darryl Hannah type riding it through a dark forest?

I used to do some custom stuff but I never got good enough or crazy enough to do it full time and actually get involved in big stuff like that or anything. It became a hobby, I found the box today and opened it and went "Hmmmmm ok i should...." haha

I was expecting some crazy puffy characterizations of the stock badges.

Still it looks good.

Note to self: Next project, VW Van with 928 motor swap with crazy murals on sides of van to appease the 924 board.

lol i'm not a van guy anyway, you know i'd probably not do that haha, but it'd be funny. but i do think i'm going to pull out some of the old body pieces i had stored away in storage and finally start messing around and airbrush them finally after these years...

^ cool ^

I still remember my mother hand painting a mural on the side of someone's van. I think it was a snow-capped Mt. Hood with a howling Wolf and some trees with a river running through the mural. I thought it was beautiful, but then I was a kid so what do I know?

I had a friend in high school who had a grim reaper airbrushed onto the deck lid of his trans am, always thought that was pretty cool. I like air brushed murals, but not when their overwhelming...

I love those pictures. I still remember seeing vans like that when I was a little kid in the 70s. I thought they were the coolest thing. Now that I'm an adult, I can't really imagine how that trend got started, or who exactly thought it was a good idea. Seems crazy now.

Its all coming back ... Google PT Cruisers under image search and you will see what I mean. A lot of the Show utes out here are going that way as well.
