Where is the best place to buy them, and how eay are they to install.

I saw a few pics of 924's with the rear flares and I like them a lot. I think I saw them somewhere for about $300 a set.

There are several styles to select from, and three major vendors here in the U.S.:

GTR/GTS (IMSA) style boxed wide bodies -> GT Racing
Holbert style wide bodies -> AIR and IFC
Standard 944 arches -> all of the above
Carrera GT style -> all of the above
D-Prod style -> AIR and GT Racing

I predict you're gonna like the D-prods...

Any opinion as to which is the better made - does it all come down to the installer? I've read differing opinions of the IFC kit.

I own fiberglass panels from GT Racing, AIR and Lindsey Racing. By far, the AIR panels are the best quality of the bunch. I've never seen IFC work up close, so I can't comment. It might be worth pinging one of the Leano brothers who bought that louvered monster in SoCal a while ago. It had an IFC kit on it.

You should give me a set of your flares. That would be the nice thing to do.

Okay so you put on the flares. Then you want wider tires. Sorry if you did not cut the original body up about 3 inches. I cut mine then welded the inner wheel well up to meet the outer fender. I two part epoxied them on and also put in screws to keep everything in place. This is not for the faint of heart. As for the screws I drilled holes on the outer part of the flares and left the two inch tab alone. After bolted them on I filled in the outer holes.

Measure twice, no three times and them cut the metal. Mark the car with the flares in place to remind you where to glue them on. It sounds easy but then it is very difficult to correct.

I have said it before in previous posts. I laid in some additional fiber glass to the insides of the flares for strength. You can never be too careful. You don't want someone lean on them and crack them. Best hint....................when you mount them do not stress them to make them fit. They will crack.

I have the original crappy rear quarters that came with the UWB project, and I have a new but slightly damaged GTR style front valance which are all available for CHEAP (but not free). Just to clarify, I do NOT have flares from all three vendors, but I do have individual parts from all three.

I can attest to AIR's quality, very good fiberglass workmanship. I just ordered a FG hood from AIR also.
