I have got vertical play on the rears wheels.
I usume if it where worn bearings I would have horizontal play as well ?
What could it be ?

Yes, you would... so perhaps a suspension alignment bolt has come loose, or a shock mounting, or something like that?
I use a paint pen to mark all the bolts on my suspension, so it's easy to see if they've come loose...

Safety wire is usually a better solution for that  but using the paint marks isn't a bad idea as well.

Cehck see what is movign, if its just the stub then its bearings, if its the control arm its a loose bolt if its the spring plate you have torsion bar issues.

Safety wire or loctite (we use both, depending on application) are to keep things from moving. Paint allows us to perform a quick visual check on every bolt in sight when a wheel is off, without having to even grab a single wrench.

Yeah, nutting and bolting a race car (especially a door slammer) is a pretty boring job.
