Hey guys,

Were any versions of the '24 (Or even '44) fitted with a high level brake light?

I have recently fitted a (free!) '24 spoilered hatch (The small one) and it has a black square marked out in the center top of the hatch in paint that extends under the surround (So must be factory??) It looks like its for a high level brake light but I didn't think there was an option for one?

Any clues/photos? If there is one then I'll find and fit one, otherwise it looks a bit daft...

Ta
Rich

You can find these fairly routinely on eBay, sourced from 924S/944/951 donor cars. I have fitted one in both the 941 and the NA, and I have a third one on the shelf waiting to go in the UWB project. I have a recommendation on the type of adhesive to use, but it's at home, so I won't be able to post until later.

I managed to spend more...

Got a new rubber boot for the fuel filler too, will stop spilt fuel getting into the car...! bit of a liability at the moment...

Cost a fair bit in shipping, but hey-ho, never mind its done now!

Have you looked at the stuff offered by these guys in Hong Kong?

http://www.dealextreme.com/products.dx/category.708~page.3

RC put me on to them and I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them including one of their high brake light arrays. Their prices are cheap and they deliver worldwide at no extra cost.

You may get what you pay for - I'll let you know.
