Hi just thought I'd introduce myself, name is Oliver, live in the good old UK, was introduced to the forum by Steve Bassington (bassgt I think his forum name is).

I restore classic cars in the Uk, and have always owned 924s, I had a 78 Lux in diamond silver when I was 19/20, was a smashing little car and did me very well for about 2 years, the car was passed down from my father who had used it as a business car as the third owner having bought it in the early 80's, first 2 owners were doctors. To cut a long story short when the car left us it had over 200k on the clock, was running perfect oil pressure and compression and had the sweetest 924 engine you can imagine. But the rest of the car was clapped out, although the dash and interior were like new.

Fast forward 7-8 years and having been through a variety of 964s, Lotus and other interesting cars I bought another 924, this time a 924s in zermatt silver, it was bought to be a cheap rough run around, but after a week of driving it and falling back in love with it decided to return it to it's former glory, so I bought a 924 2.0 locally to use as a donor car for a few trim bits it was missing, but then decided it was too good to break, luckily i found someone who decided to take the shell off me for a new project allowing me to use the car as a parts car without feeling guilty for breaking a good car. I then bought ANOTHER 924s, this time a red one that someone had started to break due to the insurance company writing it off purely due to a damaged door the rest of the car is mint.........Well this one is far too good to break also so I'm going to tidy it up and either keep it and sell the zermatt car or sell it on as a tidy 924s.

So there's a quick (long) story about me and my insane 924 buying process!

At the risk of sounding soft, I met the only bird I fell for in my original 924, hopefully the new one will bring me as much luck with the ladies lol!

Welcome to the board. Yes, 924s are moreish. We've got what seems like a hundred of them.

BTW, I was born in Yorkshire.
