I got a new diaphragm to repair my wastegate and when removing the old one I noticed the hole in the center of the new part where the valve stem passes through is much smaller than the original part. Was there an update to the design of the diaphragm? Anyone else notice this? Then I sandwitch the diaphragm between the magnesium spring seat and the aluminum blast shield there is a dimple that seems to fit the old large hole but will sqash the diaphragm with the small new hole.... Does this ring a bell with any one here? Should I just bolt it together and not worry about it.
