quote from "NOTES TO SELF" previous experience: Always anounce a meeting for the 924 guys at least 6-8 months before the meeting.
The UK guys (924 owners club) will meet again next year in June at the Nurburgring. This year it was fantastic...i had a GREAT time on a FANTASTIC trip and i would like to go next year too.
but..
This time...c'mon...really..would be nice when some more of you guys showed up...this year it was me..Nobbi from germany and Captainfresca from the netherlands.
so..i'm going to be the first on the list:
1. morghen - RO
PS:i want a sticky on this too even dough it might seem early...its not. Thanks. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

I'll be there if I haven't died yet.
Only thing that could be a problem are school tests on exactly that monday and tuesday...but I'll probably be lucky.

Sorry guys , i just sold my 924! And get a 308 GTS Ferrari.......
No, just jokin, (dreaming)!? I will be there of course.
I try to get some attention here in germany for our meeting and will contact some Porsche-Clubs and Zentrums.
I have been a the ring this weekend and had a lot of fun. They had a youngtimer rallye going on and there have been at least 5 924 taking part. And there was a race team with a 924 Carrera GT !
I talked to the driver for half a hour and later he handed me a badge for my jacket "Le Mans 1981 Carrera GT." That was quit nice, 924 `S drvers are cool......I think in general that the 924 is catching more and more attention here in germany.Prices are realy going up.A 924 CGT goes for 30000.- Euros, a Turbo in good shape for 12000.- and a first owner 924 could reach 8500.- So, keep it and it will pay the beer for your retirement!!

Nobbi, you could tell me this probably:
If you own a car in Germany and it's classified as an 'oldtimer' or something like that... you're not allowed on the Ring...right?
I've heard something like that the last time I was at the ring and that explained why there weren't any old german cars having a go.
Is this just bs or is it true in a sense?
I'm not worried because this only applies for germans and foreigners are excluded.
And I'd like to emphasize that crashing on the ring costs a lot of money _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)

Problem with the date guys as it looks like the 24 hour race is going to be the weekend we planned!!! looks like we will have to put it back a week. i'll keep you posted but now looks like June 20th till June 23rd.. for us uk guys.
AND WHATS THE CHANCE OF GETTING THIS THREAD STICKY LIKE LAST YEARS THREAD? _________________ www.nurburgring.eu

We'll follow....IF there is anyone coming....Nobbi sold his car...i havent seen Captainfresca in a good while...so there is a good chance nobody will come from europe....last year we had lots of guys "coming" and in the end it was me Nobbi and Captainfresca...so i dont expect anyone this year. Anyway...there is still a lot of time.

ah man... the 24hrs will be so cool I'm sure I'll be there once in my life...
I'm still in... can't tell if the car's ready...but I'm almost there so I guess that won't be the problem.
Captainfrasca is active on a dutch 24 forum, I'll see if he's still there...but he's alive for sure _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)

I know I can't tell for sure now.. but at least it's almost ready for the roadtest. and it runs. last year it didn't.
If it's not running by june then there's something seriously wrong and that would be such a problem the car probably has to be sold.
and that's not gonna happen
I actually was planning to go to the ring next weekend with some guys but due to my accident I think it's not that smart... _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)
