| I need to repair some rust at the lower part of the front fender/wing - rear of the front wheel across to the rocker panel. Does anyone know where I can buy repair panels for this section - US source is fine as is UK ...anywhere for that matter? Steve |

If you're missing a big area to rust, I could see patching it with 18ga. sheet metal and fastening with either rivets and POR-15 or by welding.
If it's pitted and has some small holes, I'd fill it from behind with a waterproof body filler (short and long strand fiberglass reinforced body fillers are waterproof, while the non-reinforced (aka- light weight) fillers are not (-they're actually porous).

why not just source a rust free replacement part from a breaker?
if it was quarter panel or structural rot, or you were doing it to "do it yourself" fine, but i'd rather have a full factory piece! |
