Continental Car Services Porsche Workshop had a garage sale to move old stock this morning. Myself and a mate turned up not knowing what to expect.
Below are the pics in chronological order. There are a mixture of customer cars and dealer cars in the pics. the 968 clubsport I actually snapped some pics of 4yrs ago when it was parked outside my work one day!
Since we were there, we stopped off at a few other showrooms nearby for a look.
(BTW, I bought US$1100.00 worth of new, packaged 924/944 parts for US$50.00!!)

At the Audi dealer, an R8 and a matt black TT
heading home a grand prix white '88 944 and a network tv smart car.

You probably scored better on the parts than you realize. Without a list of what you got, it's hard to tell. For instance, you might have only gotten a single 931 turbo breather retrofit kit. They once sold for less than $200 suggest retail price from Porsche, but are no longer available in a kit, and the individual parts would cost more than $1000 (last time I checked one of the hoses was over $400 by itself).
Or, you might have gotten (as I was once offered at the local Pomona, CA Porsche Corvette Swapmeet) a whole brown paper grocery bag of the same above mentioned Factory New turbo breather hoses for $50 ! ! !
Once, as I was driving out of town from Los Angeles on my way to the San Francisco Bay Area for a computer swapmeet, I litterally, accidentally, stumbled across a Sidewalk Sale at Beverly Hills Porsche and bought (5) brand new 924 dashboards in brand new, opened boxes for $500 total, plus sales tax, including the shipping home. |

This is what I found at a used car lot garage sale last month. $240 for 3 1/2 sets of rims. $ 15 each for the trash cans and $20 for the cups. Great deals can be found!

Wow ROBB! I'm eyeing up some Cups right now, and theyre not $20!!
had to bust out my collapsible spare wheel last night at 1 am in the rain
hi gohim, I priced up all the stuff I got with a pt no search on Pelicanparts. Most of it i'll never use and i got a 964 tie rod end for my folks lol. Some will be useful though, like a 944 pressure plate and a bunch of 944 relays.
one thing i'm not sure of is a 931 hose that i think may be for a series 2 not a series 1 like mine.. 931 110 183 01
I'm just so glad I went, theres less than a handful of Porsche Dealers in the country so finding a sale like this is very rare. _________________ '86 944 |

I love the look of that matt black TT. I always wanted a matt black car.
And a TT is definitely pretty high up on my list of cars i wish i could afford.
anyway, good score on the parts. _________________ 1978 924 N/A
