|
|
Hello!
My idling suddenly got a bit high. I could adjust it down with the air screw. But still rough idling and it doesnt adjust itself. So i took out the switch. What readings and when am i supposed to get when i measure it. If iīm right we measured and it worked as it should before this happened. But this was some time ago. As it is now it switches at more than half throttle, isnt it suppose to do that after just 1 degree or something like that. I think we got 0.6ohm after that. Can the problem be related to the switch being contaminated by oil that has worked itself down the shaft after some earlier smokingproblems ? _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

A malfunctioning Aux Air Valve could cause this also. _________________ 1981 931 GT (CGT Intercooled)

Isnīt the throttle switch just on/off? Then the throttle is closed the switch tells the DITC to control idle by adjusting the timing of the ingition. _________________ Carl Fredrik Torkildsen

Yes, i know how the system works. But I cant remembre what the ohm reading should be when the witch is open. I remember that i read it here some time ago but i cant find it any more.. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

After cleaning it with all sorts of chemicals it now seems to work after we opened it up. A thing I noticed is that the switch includes a switch at almost full throttle that the ditc never use. Intressting...

S2 switch has three outputs, one for idle, one for WOT, and one for partial load.
Terminals and functions are discussed by Keno and others HERE.
When installed, the idle switch should go OFF at one degree of throttle rotation, approximately .2 to .5 mm gap at the throttle stop. Rotate the assembly until this spec is achieved. _________________ Toofah King Bad
