Has anyone replaced theirs?

My car will not start - unless I spray starting fluid into it.

I have done a lot of troubleshooting, and here is where I am at, with the ignition on the injector wiring harness disconnected, I have 12 volts on the positive side of the harness. If I connect one fuel injector it drops to 3V on both sides. So I am thinking I have an inadvertent ground probably on the ground side. of the injectors. I can't find any easy disconnects in the wiring. I hate to cut the wiriing harness apart and splice in new wires, but that is looking like my next step.

Thanks in advance!

Try the test again with a 12V test light, I'm guessing it will not light.

Yeah, according to the wiring it is supposed to have 12v at the injector. I am using a multi-meter. With 3 injector plugged up, one disconnected I have only 1V on the harness. I am currently traceing power to find out where it is droping the power.

It looks like I am going to rewire the entire fuel injector harness. I am trying to find the exact place where the wiring is compromised.

I jumpered 12 volts from the battery to the connector and got the car to fire, so I am pretty sure that it the problem.

I soldered in a jumper from the connector at the firewall to the injector wires. I spliced a new wire in, bypassing the original connection. I got 12V at the injectors an the car fired. Finally.

With the Car all back together she runs!!

Very happy day. The car now hunts rpms start at about 800 or so and climb to 1600 then drop and start again. I am figuring that I have some vacuum problems. I also have an electrical problem with the turn signals. So that will be fun to find also. Hopefully something easy like a relay.

Most turn signal problems are usually found at the switches on the steering column. I think JoeCitizen posted a pretty good "How To" on how to fix the problems in that area.
