Is anyone else getting "No results" for all searches?

Maybe some kind of database index file's in need of restoring.
-Just a wild guess as I don't know anything about these things....

The fault lies deep within the server named "searchy"...
The di-lithium crystals need the polarity reversing.

....Hey....come on, if Smoothie can have a go!?

Here's what it did for me:
PHPBB wrote:
SQL Error : 145 Table './924orgv2/phpbb_search_wordlist' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

This was the same error I was getting when trying to reply to posts. Sounds like the indexing service, or a critical part of it, is FUBAR. If this goes on for too long, it'll be a PITA to get re-index all of the new posts...

Oh no, here it comes...no more "GO USE THE SEARCH!!!"

Maybe the outage will go down as "The Revenge of the Noobs"

Yeh, I'm getting all this on new posts and post edits now. -And the "Forum Index" page isn't being updated. (I'm not seeing my post listed as the last post for a forum, while it was actually the last one.)

General Error

Could not insert new word

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 145 Table './924orgv2/phpbb_search_wordlist' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

[But I should add - the posts and edits do work in spite of the error message.]

[I just noticed that the post counts aren't advancing either.]

Since the search function still is not working yet, I'll share a tip on how to search this board using Google.

To search for "jack stands" try to type this into Google "site:924board.org jack stands"

...or test it out here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=site%3A924board.org+jack+stands&spell=1

Probably not very useful for newly posted stuff, but a helpful tool to find the "good old stuff" while the search function is being debugged.

Same here, although it appears that eventually, it "catches up" to itself. I've also noticed that email notifications appear to be non-functioning...

I'll fix it up tonight.

The more graphical version of what 356speedster suggested;

Go to the Google site (rather that keying the search onto your browser`s search area) and click the "Advanced Search" link. Enter your search words and down the bottom of the page in the box beside "Search within a site or domain:" enter "924board.org"

Google is about 3 weeks out of date but it should keep you going until the search gets fixed.
