I know it sounds weird to check your mileage while your car is just sitting there, but I'm curious what your MPG gauge reads when you're idle. I think mine is around 30...

What does your owner's manual say?

And after you're done, remove your "MPG Gauge", unirnate on it, and burn it with leftover spooge hankies.

Well I was actually referring to my 944, but yes, my 924S has one as well

My Owners manual doesn't say what it should be. It just says that when idle and driving up to 10 MPH the gauge will tell you how many gallons per hour is being consumed.

I was just curious if you guys get the same reading that I do.

My MPG gauge was not working when I first got the car, and after I fixed it, I wish I had left it disconnected - very annoying and inaccurate.

ok so I guess after further review I'm not getting 30 gallons per hour but about .5 gallons per hour, yeah I guess I never noticed the little numbers above the big numbers haha.
