Well here is the deal, I have been troubleshooting my car for about 3 weeks off and on. (I travel often with my job) Anyway, I have got it down to one wire. The fuel pump relay works, I can feel it actuate when I turn the key on, I have good power to the DME and fuel pump. I have power leaving the fuel pump relay (when actuated) put not at the fuel injectors.

My question is that according to the 87 wiring diagram there is a DME connector in-between the fuel pump relay and the fuel injectors. Does anyone know where I can find this?

Thanks in advance,
John

That should be the T9a connector shown as "T9²a" (the "²" indicates post #2 of connector T9a, the 9 means it's a 9 post connector, and the "a" differentiates it from any other 9-post connectors) -

According to the "legend" -

, it's located "in the engine compartment", which isn't too specific. -But knowing that it's a 9-post connector should help in finding it.

Actually, I have follwed the injectors to a wire wrap at the back of the engine. I will keep tracing. If it is in the engine compartment, that is a big help, not to have to be under the dash trying to find it.

Thanks

I found the connector right at the firewall on the engine side. I even found the wire that provided power from the Fuel Pump relay to the injectors. I have good continuity between the connector and the relay, and the connector and the injectors. I cleaned all of the connections anyway for the connector.

When I turn the key on, with one injector removed, and the DME computer not installed I was only getting 5 v at the injector. When I installed the computer, I got .5 to 3v. This was with out trying to start the car.

I am thinking either the wiring to the injectors or an injector is giving me the problem.
