|
| My car has been randomly stalling on me. Basically what generally happens is that I will be cruising along on the highway above 60mph and then the tach will go dead, the motor will turn off, and then usually it will immediately come back to life. Sometimes it will shut off and then refire when I turn the key. Yesterday I had the car at the track, and was hitting some of the curbs pretty good and it happened again. I had a simialr problem that we thought we had fixed, where it would stall and then not refire at all. To fix that problem we replaced the fuel pump relay, throttle position switch, both reference sensors, and then found that the culprit was actually an internal failure of the fuse primary fuse panel. The current problem only seems to occur when the car is vibrating a lot (I have some good flat spots on my tires and above 60 it vibrates pretty good) Does anyone have any ideas? |

Hmm, have you got a spare computer you can swap in? Have you checked the connections from the harness to the computer? _________________ Toofah King Bad

| I have not checked the harness to the DME, will do that when I get home. The problem is that this doesnt pop up when Im putting around town, and its not really a frequent problem. I have been looking for a spare 88 DME, but they are difficult to come by. |

I've got an '87 DME you could borrow, but I don't it's the same as the '88.
