No pictures, but as I understand it the mounting is to either trailing arm with no connection to the torsion bar carrier. What this means is that the effective rate of the 18mm sway bar is actually less than the effective rate of the later 14mm sway bar which mounts to the torsion bar carrier. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

I doubt it. Why even bother messing around when the 19mm 3 way adjustable M030 rear bar can be had for $150 new? _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

I had a early rear bar installed on my early 77 924.
As has already been noted, it mounted to the trailing arms only, using the existing trailing arm to swing plate locations, with slightly longer bolts. The problem with this setup is that it is not as effective as the later center mounted 14, swaybar, and the trailing arm bolts need to be replaced occasionally as the swaybar working literally cuts the mounting bolts in half, sawing through them as the swaybar works as part of normal operation. |

Exactly as noted; the M030 adjustable rear bar is the way to go. I too had the 18mm early rear bar on my '77. _________________ Vaughan Scott
