Just wondering what everyone is using to seal their intercooler pipe connections -- band clamps (like radiator hose clamps), T-clamps, or something else?
I've been using T-clamps to make round connections, band clamps when the thing being sealed is not round like the connection to the factory charge tube (squareish), or the charge tube to the TB (ovalish). So far things are working out ok, but without welding everything up, which I don't want to do, is there some clamp that will reduce/eliminate leaking in the intercooler piping?
Your personal experiences are appreciated. |

I'm running all band (worm) clamps now with no problems but if I were not so cheap I would prefer the T-clamps. It sounds like you have a pretty good system using the T-clamps on the round connections.

I use T-bolt clamps, the heavy duty ones that are $3 a piece. The one time I used a regular worm gear clamp, it cut through my silicon coupler and caused me problems. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

T-bars, no question. . .especially if you are planning any hard, sustained boost driving (POP!). _________________ Toofah King Bad
