|
|
I removed the speaker from my dash because it simply wasn't required after I upgraded my door speaker setup. So now I'm wondering if there's something that could be done with the empty space behind the grille. I'm thinking GPS, or reversing camera display, or ...??
I'm planning to keep the stock look by hinging the grille to cover whatever goes in the hole...
So has anyone put anything interesting in that space?? Show us ya pics!

Cheers, | It depends...do you have a 924 S, or a 924? If you have a 924 S, I would put an engine management program there! You could kinda put a 8" screen in there, and hook up the computer in the glove compartment! (kinda like the idrive in the BMW M5 lol)

its an idea...  _________________ =====>Alex<=====

You could mount some sort of iPod holder up there if you have way to connect it to your stereo.
Or even better, a touch screen to control your stereo. _________________ 1978 924 N/A 4-Sp. |

Or you could put a radar detector in there..? Or one of those Road Angel things..? Save some money on speeding tickets, has GPS nav., plays music and video... even has a Brockie voice option! _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Built a programmable ignition control in the space that was covered by the grill but gave easy access.
Thats out now as I went full EFI and have temporarily stuffed a wideband O2 controller in the cavity with the ECU mounted under the dash.
The sat nav or a fold out or flip up LCD screen sounds like the best idea though. Maybe you could mount a palm top in there? What does the missus want?

Here is an original one.. put a cooling holder which is just the right size for a can of beer
Cant get more useful than that.. another idea could be to just turn it into a little storage compartment.. _________________ When the checkered flag drops... The Bull$hit Stops
