I am in the market for the same workshop manuals for a 924S - I know I need the basic 7 volume set for the 944. Thanks.

Brad....Avatar is my daughter, how did you get it!!?....j/k....Nice rear spoiler!!

On the manuals.......Best to go factory 6 volume set, no need for the 7 as it is for the 951. 6 vol, also has the 944S. Also helps to have the early 944 sets for those older model parts/repairs relevant to the 924S. If you did not know your car uses both Late/Early components.

Next best manual is right here, much better than Haynes and you can discuss your questions too where as Haynes only makes one curse!

Electronic is pirated material and many are missing pages for repair. Many poor reproductions too. The CD's are NOT available thru Porsche as many state they are.

You will also benefit for obtaining the PET CD...parts catalog. And the Technical reference manual(pocket size) and are available at most P car parts shops, including Porsche.

Thanx - avatars are a fleeting thing for me...

I have found that Clark's Garage is a much better reference than the Haynes shop manuals, other than Haynes has more photos. The website covers pretty much everything in Haynes and is FREE!

Go to www.clarks-garage.com and fill you printer with paper. Get a 3 ring binder, a 3 hole paper punch and have fun. Clarks is one of the best free service manuals you can find.

944online.com is selling the real-deal Factory Service Manuals for 944/924S for something like $175, brand new from Porsche. Still not cheap, but way better than what I've seen.
