Especially since he set about demolishing everyone else's time on Top Gear whilst humming a happy tune...

They should promptly kick any fans out that heckle him in a racial way. Kick them out with no refund and a lifetime ban from F1 racing events.

Theres no need for that.

It is a disgrace.

Especially as Hamilton had nothing to do with Alonso getting sacked from McLaren. Alonso brought that upon himself.

At one time, F1 was the last bastion of gentlemanly sportsmanship. Then money came along...

I have no complaint with F1 banning such people. I think the behavior of Spanish fans is harassment, a human rights concern, and F1 should be pulling ALL races in Spain until Spain, the Spanish government, handles the problem. It's similar to people hanging up nooses in Jina. But, that said, Do we really want private enterprise doing the job of police? Spain has had this problem in other sports too, the article points out "Incidents of racism have plagued Spanish sports, in particular soccer, in recent years." What would move the Spanish government? Money. But I don't think this corporation has the stones for taking economic action against Spain and withdrawing F1 from Spain - the absolute first obligation of a corporation is to it's shareholders - to return a profit on investment - it is the law. No moral obligation can supercede that particular legal imperative in the minds of today's CEOs.

Just turn off F1 until it's resolved to your satisfaction.

You have 10 billion channels on your TV - just find one that suits you better. I mean, it's just a bunch of corporate elite with too much money racing cars that no real human can ever conceive of owning. If you want real life racing, go to your local track and watch local guys.

I copped the NZ round of the A1 GP series the other night.

Real racing! Wheel-to-wheel stuff! A limited-lap, rolling start, sprint race and a proper, standing-start, 50-lap race at the same event.

...And national teams; so no cult-celebrity super-egos.

Not as giltzy as F1 but not as boring either!

That's an exaggeration. You can count those 'f1 fans' with the fingers of both hands. There were more than 30000 people at Montmeló. No racism problems here in Spain.

Sorry I'm not trying to focus on Spain only. Many countries have these problems. The USA, Canada, France, UK...Uganda
