This has come up a few times, what special tools are required to work on the 924. I've got pictures of a few of mine below, feel free to add. Some of these aren't required, but they sure are nice to have. And yes, I know you could accomplish the same thing using a flat blade screwdriver, a claw hammer and a pipe wrench. But seriously, if you can't take the time or commit the money to buy a few nice tools, maybe you shouldn't own a Porsche.
I have seen some very creative home made special tools by 924Board members, hopefully some of those will get posted.
Tool to loosen the rear axle nut:
Tool to remove the injectors:
Tool to adjust the timing belt tensioner (modified for clearance):
Tool to remove the triple-square nuts on the half shafts:
Tool to set the rear toe:
Vintage German made metric thread pitch guage (OK, not required, but cool and handy):

I have most of those that you posted, plus I have:
- one of the valve adjustment sockets with the 3mm alan head
- the 17mm socket for removing the gearbox plugs
- a piece of above-mentioned socket that I cut off with a die grinder so I can use it with a box wrench to remove the top plug on a snailshell without pulling the trans
- a modified screw-driver for disassembling the fuel sending unit as described in Vaughan's writeup. I don't have pix handy, but maybe I'll get around to posting 'em later on tonight... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

One of those really long t-handled mini allen wrenches to adjust the fuel mixture at the dizzy...
Oh, and one of those really short mini allen wrench sockets to adjust the valve lash. |

I can't claim that I made any of these, but if you have a 924S,
you'll need some of these:
1. "Kriket" timing belt tensioning tool
2. 28 mm bent thin wrench
3. Pin spanner wrench for balance shafts
4. 8 mm triple square/cheesehead socket
5. Big-ass socket for driving wheel bearings & races
6. 32 mm socket for rear axle nuts
7. Flywheel lock for working on belts
8. 17 mm hex for tranny plugs

Plus:
A CIS fuel pressure test set
a deep-offsest 22 mm ring spanner (wrench) for front strut top-nut
And an alternator hook for adjusting the belt tension.

Removing the rear glass or spoiler. Get an old screwdriver and cut a groove in it. Simple and cheap. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"
