Spent 3 hours last night trying to upload and retune the newest and latest code. Works great! The PC-less autotune is awesome. I just let the car sit there and it tuned its around-idle settings while I was drinking my tea. And it's real fun to plug in the laptop and just look at the square jumping around the VE table making adjustments.
Also, the car started after a second of cranking this time. I started out with default values, generated a rough VE table using the hp/torque/displacement calculator, and went though the usual injector/ignition settings. The VE table that the computer came up with was way off (real rich again), but it was enough to start and warm up the car, and the O2 sensor took it from there. I used the default AFR map, which looks OK, if maybe a bit lean on top.
Anyone tried using X-Tau accel/decel enrichment? Supposedly it should work alright using default values, and as far as I could tell it does work; but I'm not sure if the funny injector configuration requires changes from the default. If anyone has a map, that would be great
Overall I must say MSII is getting closer and closer to being a "plug-in and let loose" deal. When they're done testing the sequencer I might buy an N/A to try a "clean install" - this is really fun! _________________ 1982 924 Turbo, now Lemon |

I've played with xtau a bit, but I got my car's accel/decell working well without it. I've been using 2.6 code while I wait for the MSII/extra code v2.0 to be released from beta.
